(종교) 기독교 창조론 진화론 논쟁

Still ahead on World News, the leading bible scholar takes a surprising stand on evolution. A new flashpoint인화점 in the culture wars. This is ABC World News with Diane Sawyer brought to you by Frosted Mini-Wheats. There’s a surprising twist tonight in one of the flashing point debates of our time. Is life as we know it the result of creationism or evolution? The theory that all species have evolved from a common ancestor. One of America’s leading evangelical복음주의 Christian scholars recently declared that he agreed with the scientists. He was not prepared for what happened next. Here’s Dan Harris.

The story of creation in the book of Genesis창세기, God creating man, Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, is a bedrock튼튼한 기반 belief for many Christians. Two thirds of Americans say it is literally true. So it created an uproar대소동 when the author and respected conservative evangelical bible scholar Dr. Bruce Wakie said this about the overwhelming evidence for evolution. “To deny that reality will make us a cult사교. Some odd이상한 group that’s not really interacting소통하다 with the real world.”

Almost immediately after that video was posted on the web, Dr. Wakie was labeled a heretic이단자 and anti-Christian. “I believe what he is saying ultimately undermines the authority of god’s word.” Even though Dr. Wakie had the video pull down and repeatedly made clear that he thinks you can believe in both evolution and the inerrancy성서무류설 of the bible,

the attacks kept coming. So last week, Wakie resigned from the seminary신학대학 in Florida where he had taught for more than a decade. But conservatives insist that undermining God’s Word is leading to society’s moral decay부패. “If there’s not an absolute authority which we can trust, then everything else is just opinion.”

Dr. Wakie has found a new job at another conservative seminary. But the age-old tension between science and fake is only likely to increase and both sides agree the stakes couldn’t be higher. Dan harris, ABC News.

And still ahead, did this little pebble cause this spectacular light show? The hunt tonight for a meteor light. Startling health warning from one of the company’s rolling out the next big thing in television sets that show programming in 3-D. SAMSUNG is telling consumers that some viewers may experience an epileptic seizure간질발작 or stroke

when watching certain programs and video games in 3-D.

The search is on this evening for the remnants of the streaking meteor that lit up the sky from Iowa to Michigan Wednesday night. Meteor light hunters have been scouring southwest Wisconsin Where the radar shows fireball landed. So far only a peanut size fragment has been found.

Scientists think it was part of the meteor, they’re still awaiting more tests.
