Amazing life. After you see this man’s memory in action, all you’ll say is “wow.” From ABC News headquarters, this is ABC World News with Diane Sawyer. And now we want to show you the latest accomplishment from a man whose mind has amazed us time and again되풀이 해서. He has Asperger Syndrome. His brain is simply acrobatic곡예의. Our Nick Watt watched him learn an impossible new language at impossible speed.
31-year-old Daniel Tammet is on the outside and unremarkable평범한 young man. But like Clark Kent, behind Tammet’s bookish책을 좋아하는 exterior that lies a superhuman gift. One of the most extraordinary놀라운 brains our planet has ever seen. Scientists have tested Tammet’s memory. They had him take a look at pi. “You read through them at once?” “Yeah.” “One time only?” He memorized the first 22,000 digits of pi, and then begins reciting암송하는 the numbers back in order.
In a normal brain, different parts don’t talk to each other. In Tammet’s brain, they do. That’s why he sees numbers as beautiful shapes and color. Not only our numbers a gift, and so our words. He knows eight languages, and we watched him pick up one more. Off to Reykjavik, Iceland where Tammet touches down with a final challenge to learn Icelandic. Remember the name of that Icelandic volcano that was in the news? He’ll have just one week. Tammet appeared on Icelandic TV. A live talk show.
