This morning highlighted a videotape getting a lot of attention on the web. It shows an extraordinary reunion between a man and his old friend. Danien Aspinal is a British conservationist who raised a young gorilla before returning into the wild five years ago. On a recent trip to the West African jungle, Danien was determined to find Quibie. And as you can see after calling out to Quibie from the boat on the river, he did find him and along with his family. This morning Aspinal came here to our studios to tell Matt Lauer all about the adventure.

The mystery continued at the White House today. What was that thing that ran right in front of the President while he was talking and the staffs just above the rose garden yesterday? One White House aide was convinced it was a field mouse. The Press Secretary today called it a rat with some certainty. Others instantly said it was a mole두더쥐. But experts now tell us it was a vole들쥐. A short tail, small eye rodent설치류 with small ears apparently has a nose for fame in publicity. The vole managed to somehow infiltrate잠입하다 the ring of secret service protection. The President for the record never saw same.
Another look. It’s been 30 years to the day since the eruption of Mt. Saint Helens in Washington State. The single deadliest volcanic eruption in American history. On that day 30 years ago, the eruption lasted for nine straight hours triggering the largest known avalanche of ash and debris ever. 57 people were killed. 21 of them never found. Ever since the eruption, much of Mt. Saint Helens has been closed to the public. It’s become a valuable living laboratory, however, for scientists studying how nature does bounce back.
Couple of news items to show you here tonight briefly. These will all be on our website to see and read more about them. Earlier we told you it’s going to be a rough night in parts of Oklahoma. Well, take a look at this. This was Oklahoma City this past weekend. This is amateur video. A lot of people saw this today on the web. That is hail falling and landing in the swimming pool like coffee cans. It’s about as bad a hailstorm as you’ll ever see in the lower 48. It was a weather system of course embedded with tornados as well.
Next video could’ve been a lot worse. Someone threw tacks못 on the road surface of a charity bike race this past weekend in Maryland. The tacks of course punctured the bike tires. Several riders went down. Four or five of the cyclists suffered cuts, scratches, road burns. Another broke a collarbone쇄골.
