Grab your broomsticks and your magic wands because it’s time to raise the curtain on the Wizarding world of Harry Potter. Universal Orlando Resort for the big moment today. From NBC News, this is a special edition of TODAY at the Wizarding world of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort with Matt Lauer and Meredith Vieira live from studio 1A in Rockefeller Plaza.

 

And good morning. Welcome to a special edition of TODAY on a Friday morning. I’m Matt Lauer in New York. 7:30 now on a Friday morning. That is Hogsmeade village at the wizarding world of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort, part of our NBC Universal Family. Ann and Al are there for the grand opening of the wizarding world. And they’re going to take us on a tour in just a little while.

 

Where are you now? Well, Matt, I’m in Hogsmeade which is a village that is basically the village next to Hogswart,if anybody of all the children who’ve seen the movies. And basically over there, hello, is cottages which is where the young wizards can get their cauldrons가마솥. Well, this is the outpost. Hello. Good morning. Where as anybody who’s watched the movie knows that post, the mail is delivered by owls.

 

We’re here in front of the three broomsticks. Traditional English wizarding and witch’s fair. People come in here and you can actually get a fantastic English wizard’s meal. And then butterbear! Everybody loves the butterbear. We get the butterbear. Got you butterbear here, butterbear. Um…. End up with the butterbear mustache. And you can get anything you want including chocolate frog.
