Tonight Europe is on alert for a possible terror attack and a US drone takes out of home in Pakistan where a plot may have been hatched. From CBS News world headquarters in New York, this is the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric. Good evening, everyone. Ever since 911, officials have taken every threat, every hint of a terror plot very seriously. So with threats now of a possible attack against a major city in Europe, the United States, Britain, Japan and Sweden are warning their citizens to be extra vigilant바짝경계하는 while traveling there.

 

And today the US sent missiles fired by a drone aircraft into Waziristan in northwest Pakistan. That’s where planning and training for an attack against Europe are believed to be taking place. Five militants were reportedly were killed. Bon Orr in Washington is following the story. Bob? Clearly authorities are going on the assumption추정 that this is a very real threat. Absolutely, Katie, officials are very, very worried about these latest terror threats that they remain active.

 

Across Europe, security forces are on alert, trying to protect landmarks, tourist centers and transportation hubs against vague모호한 terrorist threats, intelligence officials still don’t fully understand. Sources say Al Qaeda and affiliated terror groups are plotting multiple attacks, blessed by Osama Bin Laden, aimed at European cities and modeled on the 2008 massacre in Mumbai. But it’s not clear how many terrorists may be involved or where they are.
