I’m Katie Couric. Fears of another 9/11 as a small plane slams into a high-rise <빌딩 등이> 고층의 building in New York City and US military aircraft take to the skies in response. Hi, everyone? It was mid-afternoon here in New York when the first word came an aircraft had slammed into 세게 부딪치다 a high-rise building. Soon pictures of flame shooting from windows flashed 순식간에 전하다 on TV screens across the country and the same thought flashed 문뜩 떠오르다 through everyone’s mind. Was it another terror attack, another 9/11? The US military went into action, but soon it became clear it was an accident.

 

A small plane somehow crashed into the building. Then another shock, the plane was apparently <확실하지 않지만> ~인 것 같은 being flown by a New York Yankee on a sightseeing trip. We begin tonight with national correspondent, Byron Pitts, who is on the scene. Byron?

 

Well, Katie? We have 2 confirmed dead, the pilot and his passenger. Nor on the ground was killed. This all happened about 2:45 this afternoon. And because of those similarities to September 11, it sent this part of New York into a panic 돌연한 공포.

 

“And everybody’s running.” Molly Coffman was one of the hundreds of witnesses. Seconds after the crash, she said, she had a flashback 똑똑하게 회상되는 과거사, New York City 5 years ago. “It was…it was very scary.” It was the frightening similarities to September 11 that temporarily 일시적으로 sent the Upper Eastside at Manhattan into a panic. An aircraft had crashed into a high-rise building. The single engine 4-seater Cirrus 20 aircraft was flying north over the east river. When eyewitnesses say it made a sudden hard turn and slammed high up into the 50-story condominium <미> 분양 아파트.
