미 국방장관, 럼스펠드, 사임

 

Because FOX is where the news is. It’s the bottom of the hour, time for the top of the news. I’m Shepard Smith. President Bush says it’s time for new leadership at the Pentagon 국방부. He announced today Secretary of Defense 국방장관, Donald Rumsfeld, has resigned <특히 정식으로> 사임하다 and he is accepting his resignation. The President says he and Rumsfeld agreed that a fresh approach is needed there. The Pentagon says the former CIA director, Robert Gates, will replace Secretary Rumsfeld.

 

이스라엘-팔레스타인 끝없는 분쟁

 

An uneasy 불안한 truce 휴전, 정전 between Hamas and Israel has come to an end 끝나다. In Damascus, the exiled 추방당한 head of the Islamic militant group calls on 요구하다 Palestinians to resume 다시 시작하다 their attacks on Israel after the Israeli attack in Gaza. The military wing 무장단체 of Hamas is now urging 촉구하다 Muslims to attack United States’ targets.

 

Israeli tanks blasted 폭파하다 the north…the northern Gaza town of Beit Hanoun. That was early today. At least 18 civilians are said to have been killed. The Israeli army indicates 가리키다, 나타내다 that the targets were Palestinian rocket launching sites. The Israelis also…say they went after ~을 공격하려 하다 militants 저항세력, 무장세력 in Gaza City. Palestinian Security indicates an air strike on a car killed two Palestinian militants. There is no immediate confirmation from the Israeli military.

 

북핵 6자 회담 재개 노력

 

In Beijing, US and Chinese diplomats 외교관 are working on getting nuclear talks with North Korea restarted. The US Under Secretary of State 국무차관, Nicholas Burn, says his team wants to discuss ways to defuse 진정시키다 the problem of North Korea’s nuclear ambitions. North Korea has said it will return to talks with the United States, China, South Korea, Japan and Russia, but no date has been set for the talks to resume.

 

마이애미 풋볼 선수 살인 사건

 

Miami police are searching now for the killer of a University of Miami football player. The defensive lineman 수비 라인맨, 공을 가진 선수의 진로를 차단, Bryan Pata, was found shot in the head at his off-campus apartment complex. Police are now calling it a murder. Cops were called to the scene by a 911 call they say last night and they found Pata’s body there they tell us. No word yet on who made that call. He lived about four miles from the University campus.
