Good morning? Breaking news. New bombing in Iraq today after the deadliest day of violence since the war began. And this morning, the death toll <사고·전쟁 > 사망자 continues to rise and Thursday’s attacks now topping 넘다 200. View to a kill <007 14 제목, 살인계획>. A next Russian spy dies in a London hospital claiming he was poisoned by Russian agents. This morning, the Kremlin is denying it, but British police are investigating.

A serious subject. The aftermath <전쟁·재해 > 여파, 영향 of a very bloody day in Iraq. NBC’s Tom Aspell is in Baghdad for us again this morning. Tom, good morning? Good morning, Ann? Baghdad is locked down in an indefinite <시간·기한> 정해져 있지 않은 curfew 야간 외출<통행> 금지 after its worst ever terror attack. Many here fear there will soon be reprisals 보복.

 

Funeral processions 장례행렬 this morning for some of the Shiites killed in Thursday’s attacks, winding ~ 굽이쳐<돌아> 나가다 through the slum areas of Sadr City, heading for burial grounds in Najaf, south of the capital. Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki ordered police to escort the funeral processions to protect them from attack.

 

Overnight, Iraqi president Jalal Talabani appeared on nation-wide TV with leaders of Shiite and Sunni sects 분파, 종파 to urge Iraqis to remain calm and work together to exercise restraint 자제. At the scene of Thursday’s horrific attack, people were sifting through ~ 엄밀히 조사하다 the rubble 잔해, 파편 looking for any sign of missing relatives and friends.

 

5 car bombs and a volley of <탄환 > 일제 사격 mortar shells 박격포탄 kept down men, women and children here. There was total panic 돌연 공포. Burning cars in the streets. Ambulances racing to the scene. Men using their bare hands to pull victims from wrecked 파괴된 vehicles.
