The search for a San Francisco man missing for 11 days ended sadly today. James Kim and his family disappeared as they were driving home from a thanksgiving trip. Miraculously his wife and daughters were found alive on Monday, raising hopes that Kim would be rescued as well. ABC’s Neal Karlinsky reports tonight from Grants Pass, Oregon.
When word broke, the reality was crushing. “At 12:03 hours today, the body of James Kim was located down in the big windy creek. Um…” 35-year-old James Kim’s body was found face down more than four days after he set off on foot 걸어서 출발하다 to save his family. The father of two kept his family alive and healthy for a week after they became stuck in the snow on a rural mountain road.
In the end 마침내, 결국, the effort that led to Kim’s death may very well have saved his family. Two days after he hiked out to look for help, search team spotted 발견하다 his tracks in the snow. A helicopter crew followed his tracks back to the car which led to the rescue of his wife and two daughters. Daughters who will grow up knowing that their father died saving them. And here in Washington, a pregnancy made news today. Vice President Cheney’s office confirms his openly gay daughter, Mary, is expecting. Mary Cheney and her partner Heather Paw have been together 15 years. The pregnancy is causing some awkwardness 어색함 for the White House. President Bush has opposed gay marriage and gay adoption. The Vice President’s office said he and Mrs. Cheney are eagerly awaiting the birth of their new grandchild.
