Hello and welcome. I’m Min Sun Hee. The leaders of South Korea and the United States discussed issues of bilateral 쌍방의 concern in a telephone conversation Wednesday night Korea Time. 한국인 근로자 나이지리아서 피랍

 

Nine South Korean workers along with one Nigerian worker were taken hostage 인질로 잡히다 by armed 무장한 insurgents 폭도, 반란자 in Nigeria. According to the Foreign Ministry 외무부 in Seoul, they were abducted 유괴하다 in the Ogu area in Bayelsa State. The Korean citizens are employees of Daewoo Engineering and Construction. The insurgents have not been identified yet, but officials believe they may be part of a guerrilla group 게릴라 단체 responsible for the kidnapping of dozens of foreign residents in the area.

 

The group is known to demand large sums 금액 of ransom 몸값, but the Ministry says there have not been any demands from the kidnappers as of yet. President Roh Moo Hyun has instructed 통고하다, 지시하다 his aides 조력자 to focus their efforts on the safe return of the workers. An emergency crisis headquarters has been established at the Foreign Ministry in Seoul. And the task force 대책본부 has also been set up in Nigeria.
