And Alexander Graham Bell meets Steve Jobs. “It’s the ultimate 최고의 digital device.” It’s the wedding of the cell phone and the iPod and you’re invited. This is the CBS Evening news with Katie Couric.

Hi, Katie? It’s been rumored for months. But now it’s a reality. Or at least it’s about to be. Apple’s billionaire in a black turtleneck 터틀넥 스웨터 and jeans came calling today. And he wants you to answer with an iPhone. “iPhone is like having your life in your pocket. It’s the ultimate digital device.”

Naturally, the iPhone includes the music and video features from its iPod cousins. More than 70 million of them have been sold since 2001. But now there’s much more. Global positioning. Google mapping software. Web surfing. Email and oh, yeah, a phone! “Yes, I’d like to order 4,000 lattes to go, please. Just kidding. Wrong number. Thank you.”

After all, Apple isn’t the first to offer an all-in-one device. But you can’t underestimate 과소평가하다 the power of that shiny logo. Dave Hamilton is the publisher of macobserver.com. “The iPhone’s not the only thing that can do most of that stuff. It’s cool and well designed and it has that Apple chic <독특한> 스타일 about it.”

In Las Vegas at the Consumer Electronics Show where Apple doesn’t have a presence, reaction was mixed. “Sometimes, it’s too overkill 지나침, 과잉. It’s too much for me sometimes. Everyone loves iPod and what else would you want but a phone attached to it?” So if you do want to get your hands on <필요 > 넣다 one, you’re gonna have to wait until June and it’s not gonna be cheap. Starting at about $500. But if the iPhone combines ~ 결합시키다 all of these different devices into one, who knows how many people may be willing to pay that price. Katie?
