I wish I was floating down a timeless river. I wish I was soaring high 높이 날아오르다 above the valley of the kings. I wish I was diving in a crystal sea. I wish I could experience the wonders of the world 세계의 불가사의. I wish I was beside ~ 곁에 palaces and temples and in a place where every stranger is a friend, where the past embraces 기꺼이 받아들이다 the future. I wish I was in Egypt.

예수무덤 발견 논란

Lots of people claimed 주장하다 to have found Jesus. The producers of this show claim to have found him, literally 문자 그대로, 정말로, found his bones buried 묻다, 매장하다 in a 2000-year-old tomb in Jerusalem. The archeologists 고고학자 found 10 small limestone 석회석 coffins . The producers claim these boxes called ossuaries 유골단지 held the most exalted 고귀한 bones in history.

“One of them says, Jesus, son of Joseph 요셉 <그리스도 어머니 마리아의 남편>. Two Marys.” The Virgin Mary 동정녀<성모> 마리아 and Mary Magdalene 달라 마리 <그리스도 감화 회개 여자>. In fact, the astounding 몹시 놀라게 하는 claim is that the entire holy family was buried in this vault <교회·무덤> 지하 납골. Astounding, critics say, because Jesus’ family was famously poor and such tombs were the fashion of the wealthy. And astounding because the names, Jesus, Mary and Joseph, aren’t proof of anything. “Names found on these ossuaries are the most common names. All of them.”

If the claims are true, and it’s a massive if, the discovery would shake the very foundations of Christianity 기독교 which believes Jesus was resurrected 부활하다 after his crucifixion 그리스도 십자가 못박음 and ascended 오르다 bodily 자신이, 몸소 into heaven.

The producers, including James Cameron of Titanic fame, sense they’re in deep water 곤경에 빠져, 난처해져서 with this one. “It’s absolutely untrue that we’re…that we’re trying to, in any way, erode 서서히 손상시키다 Christianity. Quite the opposite.” Nevertheless 그럼에도 불구하고, they cite 인용하다, 예증하다 DNA evidence. Preposterous 터무니없는 evidence, say the critics. “What’s the story? They found the DNA connecting Jesus to God? Can you check the DNA of God?”

Once before the Discovery Channel tried to sell audiences a story about another ancient box of bones with the Jesus connection. The man at the center of that claim is now facing trial 재판 for fraud 사기. Mark Phillips, CBS News, London.
