Now let’s get a check with Anne Curry at the news desk for the rest of today’s top stories. Anne, Good morning. Meredith and Matt, good morning. Good morning, everybody and we begin with the vow 개인 공약, 언질 from the President to push congress toward comprehensive 포괄적인 immigration reform 이민<> 개혁. He made that promise on the last leg <여행의> 구간, 여정 of his Latin American tour in his effort to smooth strained 불안한, 긴장한 ties with Mexico over illegal immigration. He meets again today with Mexico’s President, Felipe Calderon.

 

Violent anti-Bush protests were held <모임 따위를> 열다 meantime throughout Mexico on Tuesday in Merida last night. Police had to keep dozens of angry protestors from storming 돌진하다 security barriers outside the President’s resort. And earlier on Tuesday in Mexico City, the police had to use tear gas to control hundreds of people who threw rocks and firecrackers 폭죽 at officers and burned American flags.

 

Today Senate Democrats are hoping to finally begin debate on the war in Iraq after two previous attempts. On Tuesday, Republican leaders said they will vote to allow the debate to begin.
