프랑스의 초고속열차

 

This is BBC World, putting news first. A French train has set a new world speed record. The high-speed train or the TGV reached 357 miles an hour. That’s just under 575 kilometers an hour on a new line between Paris and Strasburg. It easily beat ~ 능가하다 the previous record for the word’s fastest train on conventional 재래식 tracks set in France 17 years ago.

 

With the speed of a small plane, the French double decker TGV train hurdled ~ 돌파하다 into the record books at nearly 575 kilometers per hour. The sleek 유선형의 black and chrome <화학> 크롬 bullet train 초고속 열차 have been equipped with special launch wheels and two super-charged 고충전 engines for the record attempt. And the track had to be strengthened to support the extra speed.

 

French television picture showed blurred 흐릿한 images of the countryside whizzing the past 핑하는 소리를 내며 지나가다. The three drivers who looked incredibly nervous in the buildup <최종 목표 달성하기 위한> 준비 to the attempt grinned <기뻐서·만족하여> 이를 드러내고 싱긋 웃다 as they realized they shattered ~ 산산이 부수다 that previous record by some 45 kilometers an hour.

 

But the speed just fell short of 부족하다 the overall 전반적인 world train speed record which was reached in 2003 by a Japanese train. It’s traveled at 581 kilometer per hour.

 

France, which is famous for its super fast trains, is trying to impress overseas markets with this high-speed technology. It’s hoping China which is building a new high-speed line between Beijing and Shanghai could become its first customer. Emijin KUrbie, BBC News, Paris.
