United States is pressing the North to close down the Yongbyon nuclear reactor 원자로. Ambassador 대사 Hill said they discussed all aspects 각도, 견지 at what he called a good meeting. “The, uh, talks were, uh, very detailed, uh, very substantive 실질적인, 가치 있는, and uh, I believe they are also, uh, very useful and positive.”
Ambassador Hill also had a few words about what will happen next. “The DPRK 북한, <Democratic People's Republic of Korea>, 조선민주주의 인민공화국 indeed, uh, both of us reaffirmed 다시 확인하다 our commitment 공약 to the February agreement and to the complete fulfillment 이행 of that February agreement.” BBC’s Charles Scanlon he’s been watching all the developments 새 사태 and said that before Mr. Hill even left Pyongyang, he was quoted as saying ~의 말을 인용하다 the talks were good, it’s all positive.
“Uh, we know that he met, uh, the chief North Korean negotiator Kim Gye-Gwan and also the, uh, Foreign Minister 외무부장관, uh, there’s a very, uh, positive atmosphere 분위기 about this here in South Korea, uh, people feel as if the United States is showing the sort of flexibility 융통성, 나긋나긋함, uh, that the South Koreans have been wanting for, uh, quite a long time. They think it’s very important that the Americans have dropped 버리다 their objections 반대, 거부 to talking directly with the North Koreans. So we don’t know the details yet, uh, but certainly the fact that he’s been there is seen as a very positive sign.”
