Hello, everyone? As congress and the president gear up for 준비를 갖추다 yet another battle over Iraq, the violence there continues. There was a deadly attack today in the Green Zone, once considered the safest part of Baghdad. Militants fired a barrage of 연속의, 빗발치는 more than a dozen mortars 박격포. At least, three people were killed, including one member of the US military. 18 others were wounded. A new USA TODAY Gallop Poll shows 71% of Americans want all troops out of Iraq by next April, except for a limited number deployed 배치하다 for counter-terrorism efforts. The senate 상원 is debating a move to do just that. Started drawdown 삭감, 축소 in four months and end combat by next spring. “Since the president made his speech on January 10 after the election, when he said there was gonna be a new strategy, 590 US service men and women have been killed.”

 

The president’s allies in the senate are pushing hard to wait until September. And a second report from the top US commander 지휘관 in Iraq before making any strategic 전략상의 changes. A military official who spoke with Mr. Bush recently says the president told him no matter what the final report in September contains, if the top US commander in Iraq recommends the surge 급상승 should continue, then it will.
