Expo 2010, Shanghai, China. Better city. Better life. Now, divers aren’t ready to call off 손을 떼다 the search for eight people who’ve been missing since a bridge collapsed 무너지다 into a river in the US state of Minnesota last Wednesday. The FBI is sending a new diving team to join the search. And as John Lawrence reports, the state’s governor 주지사 says that there’s still hope.

 

Refusing to give up, investigators and rescue teams 구조대 continue this weekend trying to find those still missing and looking for clues 실마리 as to ~에 대하여 what caused Wednesday’s tragedy in Minneapolis.

 

At least one parent joined the effort. This man, seen standing atop the wreckage 잔해 of the I-35W Bridge. He swam in the Mississippi trying to find clues to the whereabouts 소재, 행방 of his daughter, one of several still missing from the bridge collapse. Minnesota’s governor asked the public Sunday, not to lose hope. “We really don’t want to speculate 추측하다 because we’ve had some instances 실례 where people who were thought to be missing have showed up at…… is in comas 혼수상태인 and hospitals or in medical conditions.”

 

Meanwhile, authorities 당국자들 say don’t expect any quick answers on what caused the tragedy 비극. “It’s going to be a slow tedious 장황한 investigation. It’s going to be thorough 철저한 and it’s going to be comprehensive 광범위한.”

 

More help is on its way to investigators and rescuers on scene. The US northern command 사령부 announced Sunday, orders are being drafted up to send a naval ship and dive team to help in the effort.
