Good evening. Here at al-Asad air base, the biggest US military base in Anbar province in western Iraq, President Bush met with top US military commanders 지휘관, leaders of the Iraqi government and key members of his administration.

 

It was no accident that President Bush landed at this remote and dusty air base in the western Anbar province. Once a hotbed 온상, 소굴 for Al-Qaeda, it’s seen a dramatic drop in violence. Mr. Bush and his inner circle 권력 중추부의 측근 그룹 got an update from US commander, General David Petraeus who will report to Congress next week on the status of Iraq. Emerging from that meeting, the President opened the door for possible troop reductions in the future.
