Good morning. It’s Monday, January 28. From CBS News in New York City, I’m Meg Oliver. There’re two of the most recognizable Kennedys and they’re supporting Barack Obama. Party officials say Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy will announce his endorsement 추천, 시인 today. His niece 조카딸 Caroline Kennedy will reportedly join him. She backed Obama this weekend in the New York Times.
The high-profile 세간의 이목을 끄는 support adds to the momentum 힘, 여세 for Obama who’s still riding high 의기양양하다, 잘 해나가다 from monopolizing 독차지하다 Saturday’s primary in South Carolina. He’ll be in Washington D.C. today after campaigning Sunday in Alabama and Georgia. “And then, last night came. And people from every walk of life stood up and they said, yes, we can. But not the entire Kennedy clan 씨족 endorses Obama. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, daughter of Robert F. Kennedy, vouches for 보증하다, 보증인이 되다 Hillary Clinton. This weekend, Clinton acknowledged her husband, the former President, has taken a lot of the spotlight with his support. “I’m very proud of what my husband has done. But I’m running. It’s my candidacy 입후보. I’m the one asking the people of America to support me.”
Clinton now plans to visit Florida tomorrow for its primaries 대통령 선거인 예비 선거. The Democratic Party refuses to recognize delegates there because the state moved up its primary. But Clinton says Florida voters need to be heard.
