Good evening. We come on the air with breaking news. We got word late this afternoon of still another college campus shooting. This time, it’s Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, Illinois. There are injuries and we know the shooter has been killed. We’ve been getting details over the last hour. We’re gonna go to Chicago and ABC’s Barbara Pinto. Barbara?

 

Charlie, this is a large campus of about 25,000 students. They were in the middle of the school day when late this afternoon, witnesses 목격자 say a gunman wearing a ski hat armed with ~을 갖춘, 무장한 a shotgun and a pistol walked into a large lecture hall filled with about 100 students and began opening fire.

 

Witnesses say he emptied the shotgun first and then the pistol. Terrified 겁먹은, 깜짝 놀란 students hid behind the stadium seating and crawled 기다, 기어가다 into the hallway to safety. At this hour, we know that there are about 17 people injured, 4 of them in critical 위독한 condition with gunshot wounds to the head. One of them in surgery this evening.
