And good evening. And Katie is off tonight. It has been a rough few days in the Great Plains 대초원 지대, <Rocky 산맥 동부의 미국> and upper Midwest. The region has been pounded 맹 포격하다 by storm after storm including a series of deadly tornadoes. 7 people were killed in Iowa and Minnesota last night. And today, Iowa’s governor 주지사 Chat Culver declared 3 counties disaster areas. In one small Iowa town, Pakersburg, half the homes were wiped out 파괴하다. Tornadoes killed 6 people there. “All of a sudden, just one massive one just dropped down 갑자기 멎다.” Tim Kolder caught one of the twisters on tape. “The scariest thing is… when we're outside of town and watching it happen and our family members are living in town." “More than 400 homes were damaged. 222 of those homes were completely destroyed and 21 businesses were destroyed as well.”

 

“That’s the most impressive 강한 인상을 주는 tornado I think I’ve ever seen.” Today is the 5^th straight day of devastating <완전히> 파괴적인 storms. Thursday, the twister struck 6 Colorado towns. Friday, 17 tornadoes hit Kansas. Saturday, funnel clouds 깔때기 모양의 구름 sent barns 헛간 flying into pieces in Oklahoma. “I think it’s a pig farm.” And Sunday, tornadoes leveled 무너뜨리다 parts of Hugo, Minnesota killing a 2-year-old child.
