Thanks, Brian. And good evening, everyone? We have late news from the World Health Organization 세계보건기구 tonight that it is investigating an outbreak <전쟁, 질병 등의>발발 of bird flu pass from person to person among members of one family in Indonesia. We’re joined now by our chief science correspondent Robert Bazel. Bob, What can you tell us?
Well, Kambel? That family got sick in late April and early this month. And the investigators concluded that there was person-to-person transmission 전염 because some members of this one family did not have any contact with any sick poultry 가금, <집에서 기르는 날짐승> or any other animals. The…World Health Organization is sending in other investigators to check this situation out further and they’re taking it very seriously. Kambel?
So Bob? Is this what we have been so worried about human-to-human transmission? No, it’s not. And it’s important to point that out because so far all the investigation has found that it has not spread to anyone else in this village, it has not spread beyond this one family. Indonesia is a very poor country with a massive outbreak of virus in birds. And it’s very easy for the bird’s virus to spread very widely.
