We turn now to Thanksgiving in this country which in most years would be almost the only thing Americans were thinking about the pure joys of the holiday. There are, of course, many things different this year including a new president-elect and an uncertain economy. But there are many, many more things that are familiar that remind us it’s Thanksgiving. Here’s John McKenzie now.

 

While most Americans today have less, in some cases, much less than a year ago, there was still plenty of reason to give thanks. “It’s a great Thanksgiving. She just got back from Afghanistan. So this is the greatest thing ever. Great Thanksgiving. I’m the luckiest guy in the world. I’ve got my family, I’ve got my health, I’ve got great kids.”
