Just last night, we began this broadcast with the stunning 아연하게 하는 announcement that the richest man in the world, Bill Gates, was shifting his priorities 우선 하는 일. Growing numbers of successful American boomers are doing the same thing. As we hear now from NBC’s Mike Taibbi In Depth.
“How’s my Joe? Good to see you.” Baby boomer Katherine Maloy used to run a radio network with more than a thousand stations. But now, she checks out the Goodwill store she manages in the Washington D.C. area or visits one of the classrooms paid for by Goodwill’s profits, so the disabled 신체 장애자들 or unemployed can join the work force. “How do you like that?”
And Dick Harlow doesn’t miss the advertising career that made him a fortune. He’s heading to Africa to explore volunteering possibilities. “Now we’re going back to try to do something more than just funding, whether we could open up some orphanages 고아원 and make projects that are sustainable 유지할 수 있는.”
Joyce Roches, 2 decades of Marketing Executive, now runs a charity 자선사업 benefiting young girls. “I would work very hard numerous hours, and then I had to get away in order to get energized and rejuvenated 다시 젊어지다.”
