And welcome to TODAY on this Tuesday morning, inside Studio 1A. I’m Maridith Viera, MATT LAUER on the floor of the NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE! Matt, good morning! On the floor, the Exchange this morning, the DOW will open at 6763. Let me say that again. 6763! It hasn’t been that low since April 25th of 1997.
It’s scary, scary stuff, especially when you consider that only 17 months ago, we were talking
about an all-time high최고기록, above 14,000. Let me just give you couple of other statics 통계 that are gonna make your head spin어지럽게하다. It took only 14 trading session for the Dow to fall from 8000 to less than 7000. And a third of people polled recently say they feel this market will go below 6000 in a not too distant future.
The Dow closing below 7000 for the first time in over a decade, losing more than half its value since its all time high in October 2007. Investors continued to watch the losses pile up.
