The newsroom staff was trimmed to about 20 down from more than 160 people. The traditional newspaper industry is under serious threat from falling subscription예약구독 and advertising revenue수입 as well as the increased competition from free Internet sources! And on this day in 1963, the Rock says good bye to its last inmate수감자. During its 29 years in operation, Alcatraz earned its reputation명성 as a fortress요새. 36 people tried to escape, many of them died trying. It held such notable유명한criminals as Robert Stroud better known as “The Birdman of Alcatraz”. James Whitey Bulger and Al Capon, but the cost of running the prison eventually led to it being shuttered폐쇄하다 46 years ago today.
The outrage분노 is spreading. A week after the AIG bonus scandal ignited점화하다 a political firestorm. Word “165 million” may have been only the beginning. How much more AIG is believed to have handed out? And why that extra cash wasn’t reported sooner?

AIG admitted they handed out $165 million in bonuses using your tax dollars.
