Koreans any rocket launch will violate UN resolutions and could lead to the UN security council imposing new sanctions. North Korea says it still plans to launch the rocket which, it says, will be carrying a communication’s satellite! But some military analysts say this is just a way for the North Koreans to test their ballistic missile technology… a launch well, that rocket, in theory, could actually carry a warhead as far away as Alaska or Hawaii.

The Red River which has risen to historic levels, but did not reach city levies. There were concerns though that the river could crest at 42 or even 43 feet today. The National Weather Service believes the river crested at just under 41 feet, however, city leaders remain extremely cautious. They are not ready to officially declare the worst is over
