Breaking News coming out of the Pacific Northwest. Two children put out….pulled out of a river, but only one survived. We are live on the scene. I’m Julie Banderas. And we are live as FOX reports tonight. He is running out of time. The race to find 13-year-old Daniel Houser, a desperately sick boy whose own body is eating him alive. Tonight the latest on the search and where police think Danny and his mom may be hiding now.
The clock is ticking. NASA scraps another attempted landing of the shuttle Atlantis, leaving astronauts just two days left to make it safely back to earth. So what’s keeping them stuck up in space and what happens if their supplies run out?
Well, they completed one of the most dangerous missions in NASA’s history. Repairing the Hubble space telescope. But the astronauts onboard space shuttle Atlantis are still stuck in orbit and their supplies are said to be running low. NASA had to cancel today’s landing due to bad weather in Florida and we are told tonight the crew’s supplies were only supposed to last until Monday. But NASA says oxygen, fuel, and other necessities could be stretched all the way until next month. Now the agency will try to bring Atlantis home tomorrow even though meteorologists say the forecast of Florida looks pretty rough.
Dateline Beijing China where a stranger reportedly pushed a suicidal man off of bridge after getting fed up with his, ‘selfishness.’ Luckily, the man survived. This guy had apparently been standing on the bridge for hours contemplating suicide. We got his picture which give authorities time, we don’t have his picture. But authorities were given time to inflate an air cushion below him. But apparently, the traffic was getting blocked up. So when the man would had jumped or walked away from the ledge, a stranger walks up shakes the man’s hand and pushes him off. We’re told the suicidal man landed safely on that cushion. But he did hurt his spine and his elbow. The stranger was taken into custody.
And on this day in 1934, they spent two years on the run until police finally caught up with the most notorious armed couple in history. Barney and Clyde. Barney Parker and Clyde Barrow both spent time in prison, but each time they got out and they find some way to reconnect and continue their crime spree. The couple robbed a string of banks and stores across five states, but the dangerous ride finally came to an end on a dusty back road in Sales, Louisiana where cops gunned them down as they were driving back to the hideout 75 years ago today.
