And breaking news just into CNN. Sources tell South Korea’s YUNHAP news agency that North Korea appears to have conducted a nuclear weapon’s test. CNN’s Son Ji Ae is following developments from Seoul, South Korea. She joins me now live. Son Ji Ae? Could you…? Are you with us, Son Ji Ae? Alright. We’ll get right to her as soon as we can. Let me just tell you a little bit about what we are learning. Son Ji Ae has confirmed for us that the South Korean President has called for an emergency meeting of this council there. South Korea believes that a nuclear test, as we just mentioned, has been carried out. Once again, we’re getting this. South Korea is getting this from the……from the YUNHAP new agency. You may recall back on April 5^th, North Korea had launched a long-ranged missile. We do have Son Ji Ae now live for us. Son Ji Ae? Can you tell us the very latest what you’ve been able to confirm?

We have breaking News at this hour. I’m Loren Savant in New York. North Korea saying it has successfully conducted an underground nuclear test. We are hearing reports from South Korea’s weather agency that detected a tremor and they say that indicates a nuclear test was done. Now…meanwhile the South Korea’s President….he has called an emergency meeting of his cabinet at this hour. And last month, if you remember, Pyong Yang conduct…..test-fired a missile that was capable of carrying nuclear warheads. Three staged rocket. That’s what they test-fired last month. North Korea conducted the first test of a nuclear missile all the way back in October, 2006. But they did say there would be a second. Now once again we have breaking News at this hour. North Korea successfully conducting an underground nuclear test. North Korea saying it has…it was a success. We were first getting word from this from South Korea’s weather agency. But we have since confirmed that, and of course FOX News will be staying on top of this story. We’ll bring you any developments that we get into our newsroom here.

This is the FOX News Alert. Sorry to disturb your holiday weekend, everybody. But it appears that North Korea has successfully detonated a nuclear weapon. They have…done a nuclear test. That is the second nuclear test that they have successfully performed the last one way back in 2006. This one bigger and better. The first indications that the outside world had that they had conducted this nuclear test came from the South Korean weather services. They detected what seemed to be an earthquake and underground tremor.

Now on CBS news UPTO THE MINUTE! The UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting today after reports that North Korea conducted an underground nuclear test! It would be the North’s second such test and it comes just weeks after the communist government launched a long range missile that landed in the sea off the Coast of Korea. The State Department says it’s a greatly concerned.
