From ABC News, this is World News with Charles Gibson. Reporting tonight from Washington.

Finally tonight, Rubik revival. You may remember Rubik’s Cube 정육면체모양의 색깔 맞추기 장난감,

the once incredibly popular and incredibly difficult puzzle

where you have to unscramble <흩어진 > 제대로 챙기다 the colors, so that each side has just one.

There are, we should note, more than 43 quintillion 1,000 여섯 제곱 possible positions on the cube.

Nevertheless 그럼에도 불구하고, its popularity is surging 급등하다, 치솟다 again

and its most adept 숙달한, 열렬한 지지자 followers have just competed in San Francisco.

Here’s ABC’s Bill Blakemore.

Welcome to the world cubing competition.

They do the nearly impossible one-handed 손만 사용하는.

Dan Dzoan just set the world record of 17.90 seconds.

And you-gotta-be-kidding impossible,

blindfolded 눈을 가리고. Record? 1:28.

Soon after its birth in 1973,

the devilish 악마 같은 little cube was twisting hands around the world.

Had its own theme song.

Starred in its own animated series. “My name is Rubik.”

The world craze <일시적, 열광적> 대유행 soon died out,

but has now been revived by a truly obsessed young cuber named Tyson Mao,

My fastest time in competition is a little under 13 seconds”,

who yearned ~ 열망하다 like every champion for some serious competition.

Tyson Mao became the face of speed cubing.

That’s till his real competition showed up.

His younger brother, Toby, still in high school.

“He completed the Rubik’s Cube in 10.48 seconds,

which is the fastest time anyone has ever solved a Rubik’s Cube in competition.”

The famous Mao brother even taught Will Smith for his new movie The Pursuit of Happiness.

But, it’s hard to stay at the top.

Now in Asia, 18-year-old Yu Jeong-Min

known to his quaking 떨고 있는 opponents <경쟁 등의> 적수, 상대 as Gungz

has shattered 산산이 부수다 the record for what they call fastest average solve time

in the clicking <물건 서로 맞부딪치어나는> 딸깍하는 소리 blur <분명한> 하는 소리 of just 11.76 seconds.

“No one has any idea how anyone’s gonna catch this guy.”

No question, Gungz is the real deal 대단한 인물.

Sometimes, Gungz goes so fast the pieces even pop out.
