긴급뉴스 미국인 3 이란 국경 체포

Inside Iran, three American citizens crossing an invisible line and ending up in custody of the Islamic Republic. I’m Julie Banderas and we’re live as FOX reports tonight. New developments at this hour on three missing Americans believed to be behind bars in Iran. Iran state TV confirming guards arrested three US tourists after they crossed the border from Iraq. Now the trio apparently on a hike in the mountainous section of northern Iraq that buffers Iran’s Kurdistan province. Iran says they were arrested because they did not obey orders from the guards.

Now we understand from Kurdish officials in Iraq. The detainees are two men and one woman. Details are in short supply, but here is what we know based on reports. The three US citizens were staying in Iraq’s oil rich and self ruled Kurdish region. This part of Iraq has been relatively free of violence. In fact, it’s a draw to adventurous tourists for its scenery. We understand a 4th friend stayed behind at the hotel because of an illness and Kurdish officials tell us he then received a phone call from his friends saying Iranian border guards have surrounded them. Since then, not a word. The US has not had a diplomatic tie with Iran since 1979. The state department now asking Switzerland to represent its interests in Tehran. Specifically, to confirm whether or not these reports of the three Americans are in fact being detained by Iran, if this is fact.

Bomb threat at NYC Airport?

Back here at home, did you hear about this, a bomb scare at New York’s La Guardia airport? Forcing thousands of travelers to evacuate the main terminal. What a scary mess, it happened early this morning! People were rushed outside as you can see at about 5:30 in the morning in fact. Flights delayed. Traffic backed up all over the country. Police say all the chaos was caused by one man. He’s 32 years old. His name is Scott Megan. Police actually say he was acting crazy. Police say when they checked his bag, they found batteries and wires inside. Well, it turned out it was a fake bomb. La Guardia’s main terminal didn’t open back up until 9 AM. Megan’s now been charged with having a fake bomb at an airport and making terrorist threats.

Poising show-horses?

Well, nearly two dozen show horses worth millions of dollars intentionally poisoned by a wave of highly toxic leaves. Well, now investigators trying to figure out who did it and why. The owner of the San Diego county ranch where it all happened says someone apparently broke in overnight. 23 horses in all poisoned. Three now said to be seriously ill. We’re told the horses may have been tricked into eating the poisonous leaves which were mixed in a feed of sliced apples and carrots. Removing the toxin is apparently very difficult and involves injecting the horses with a combination of oil and charcoal.

Well, it was supposed to last for four months. But its billion dollar fund running on empty just after four days. The problem? There’s just not enough cash for the so-called cash for clunker’s program. The house already voting to inject more money, but could the senate send the popular program on a crash course?
