(긴급뉴스) 뉴욕 상공 비행기 충돌 !
In this breaking story we’re following in this country, you’re looking at live pictures of the Hudson River at Hoboken, New Jersey. Why? Because emergency teams are responding to a crash between two helicopters taking place just moments ago. There in the….over the Hudson River. And search and rescue teams are there under way. We’re not exactly clear how many people may be involved or onboard those two helicopters, but this is the information we have thus far.
Alright. Let’s talk about this breaking news that we continue to follow. Out of Hoboken, New Jersey, you’re looking at the Hudson River. Why? Because search and rescue teams are there looking for any remnants and survivors of a collision between a tourist helicopter and a small plane.
A FOX news alert and 3:30 in the afternoon in New York City on a tragic Saturday afternoon where two planes, one helicopter and one small plane, had collided in the skies over the Hudson River. Ironically, just….almost exactly in the same spot, that the plane…..that the US air flight 1549 made its safe water landing back in January. Today, unfortunately not a happy story. It does appear that there are nine people who have died in this collision. No survivors. Laura Angle has been following this story for us right along…..uh…right along the way and she went over to the New Jersey side in Hoboken which is where closer to the New Jersey side where the crash….the collision took place. Laura? You’re on the phone right now. I understand you have some new information.
Three o’clock in New York City, and we are three hours into a disaster over the Hudson River. It was only seven months ago. We were talking about a miracle. That is not the case today. After a midair collision in the skies between New York City and Hoboken, New Jersey, a sightseeing helicopter run by Liberty Tours colliding with a small plane right over the skies just before noon time. There is one person confirmed dead and there are perhaps eight more people who are being searched for right now by those rescue boats you can see. On the ground, the New York City fire department, the New York City police department, the coastguard, even sightseeing operators….ship operators involved right now in the search for any survivors although at this point now three hours after the collision, it does not look good for anyone having survived this crash.
I’m Rick Paul Balm in New York City along with Greg Jerald as we continue to follow. This breaking story in New York in the lower right-hand corner of your screen, you can see perhaps some micro phones at a podium. We’re waiting to hear New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg who will be stepping up to the microphones. He doesn’t like to hold press conferences until he’s got some concrete information and right now the information seems to be a little bit all over the map. At we had heard that one person had been rescued from the scene. We’re now getting reports that in fact no one has successfully been rescued and we’re getting confirmation of one person having died. You can see some members of the city hall staff there getting ready as we wait to hear from mayor Bloomberg. <The End>
