Hello and welcome to Arirang News. I’m Kang Min Ji. 23 people have died and 20 others injured from the torrential rains 집중호우 that have poured 억수같이 퍼붓다 in Korea for the past few days. The National Emergency Management Agency 국립비상관리청 said most of the casualties 피해자, 희생자 came from GangWon province. Almost 3000 houses were destroyed by flooding, leaving over 4000 people homeless. More than 10,000 hectares of farmland were submerged 물에 잠그다.
Meanwhile, weather officials have lifted 풀다, 해제하다 all rain warnings. The Korea Metrological Administration 기상청 says the rain front will move away from the central region by Wednesday morning and from the southern region by late Thursday, but more rains are forecast to head back here on Sunday.

Residents of these areas will receive a special tax cut 감세, as well as up to 300 million won or 315,000 U.S. dollars each for property damage.
