돼지 독감 대유행 경고

Welcome to World News. Tonight, flu fears. A worst case scenario warns tens of thousands of Americans may die from the H1N1 swine flu. From ABC News headquarters, this is World News with Charles Gibson reporting tonight David Muir. A presidential panel of the nation’s top scientists today outlined what they called a plausible그럴 , 정말같은 worst case scenario in which up to half of Americans get the H1N1 swine flu this fall and winter. Hospitalizing nearly two million and causing as many as 90,000 deaths, primarily주로 among children and young adults.

It is a worst case scenario. But it’s being taken very seriously tonight especially as millions of children head back to school. Ryan Owens is in Fort Worth, Texas tonight. Students arriving for the first day of school in Fort Worth came armed with more than new pencils and notebooks. Kids were barely in their new seats before the first and perhaps most important lesson of the school year began. “In between those fingers because that’s where bacteria and germs can hide.”

School leaders here are nervous about what this year will bring. And who can blame them? Last year, the superintendent교육감 closed all of the district’s 140 schools, sent 80,000 students home for six days. “What’d you do all over again?” “I would absolutely do the exact same thing. I think when the medical professionals tell you, you need to shut that school system down and shut it down immediately.” This year, health officials had changed their recommendation saying it’s no longer necessary to close an entire school.

A vaccine is the most effective way to fight the flu, but doctors here have been told not to expect it for at least another six weeks. Health officials say once this vaccine is finally ready, it will be distributed much the way shots are now. Many students will simply go to their pediatrician소아과의사. Others will have to go to the health department and line up just like these people are.

“We have to be ready to change some of our practices if we do see more severe illness. But thankfully right now, we’re going to treat this just like seasonal flu in terms of the vaccine.” Until then, schools can do little more than keep teaching that all important lesson because this year the first day brings jitters신경과민 초조함 not just for the kids.
