Police say the gunman claimed the attack was against the government.

 

New York. A sweeping sting operation breaking up a cigarette smuggling ring. But that’s not all. Homemade bombs, guns, and thousands of rounds of ammunition found at the home of one man police came across during the investigation. The sting beginning last year with the help of an informant.

Crews finally getting the burst under control. But the damage already done. About 100 basements under water and hundreds of homes lost power. Part of a road washed away. The cleanup could take weeks.
