40년만의 가다피 유엔 연설

Tonight, the President tells the world America’s go-it-alone policy is over. “Now is the time for all of us to take our share of responsibility for a global response to global challenges.” I’m Katie Couric. Also tonight, before Iran’s President address the UN, he talked exclusively to CBS News. And we challenged him on his denial of the holocaust대학살. “Mr. President? Is this photo fabricated조작하다? Is this photo a lie?” This is the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric.

Also addressing the UN today was Libya’s Muammar Qaddafi. And the US senate thought his moment in the spotlight was the perfect time to rebuke꾸짖다 him. It voted to condemn Libya for giving a “lavish아끼지 않은 welcome home” to the terrorist convicted in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103. And then there was the speech. Jim Axelrod tells us it went on and on and on.

Muammar Qaddafi made up for벌충하다 lost time unloading 40 years of frustration좌절 in delivering his first ever speech to the United Nation’s General Assembly. Qaddafi rambled소요하다 on for an hour and 35 minutes to a half empty chamber offering his view on a wide range of subjects such as the UN Security Council. “It should not be called the security council. It should be called the terror council.”

He addressed the assassination of John F. Kennedy. “Jack Ruby an Israeli killed Lee Harvey. Who killed Kennedy?” And praised the election of Barack Obama. “We are content만족한 and happy if Obama can stay forever as the President of the United States of America.” The release of the Lockerbie bomber was about the only issue Qaddafi didn’t cover at the UN today.” Across the street, Hamid El-Bejou who left Libya 30 years ago called Qaddafi’s appearance a joke. “It’s a joke?” “Absolutely, is a joke. It’s not only United Nation, it’s a joke for the city of New York.”

There was a joke. He wanted to put up a Bedouin tent like he’d done in Belgium, Moscow and Italy. But New York City officials denied his request to pitch설치하다 his tent in Central Park. He next tried New Jersey and property owned by Donald Trump in Westchester County, New York. But both were no goes as well.

Eventually Qaddafi ended up staying here last night, the Libyan Mission. For all his nice words about president Obama today, Qaddafi won’t be attending the reception the President’s throwing개최하다 tonight. He wasn’t invited. Jim Axelrod, CBS News, New York.
