We introduce you to one of the team’s fan favorites. “Yes. Fans all over the world.” “He is the Beckham of Asia.” He is Asia’s best known footballer and an icon in his native South Korea. Park Ji Sung.

 

28-year-old Park Ji Sung is the first one to admit he is not the most gifted타고난 재능이 있는 of soccer stars, he was never a prodigy신동. But through hard work and years of dedication헌신, Park found success in Japan, then Holland, and in 2005, the softly spoken South Korean signed with English premier league giants Manchester United.

Welcome to Talk Asia. Thank you. And thank you for joining us on CNN. Um….let’s start with your new Manchester United contracts. Delighted that you’ve committed to your future until 2012. yeah. I’m very glad to, you know, extension my contract because here’s a one of the big best team in the world, and then best players around and best coaching staff. So I’ve a lot of achievement since I came here.

 

Now you have a new contract here until 2012. Do you feel this is some way you’d like to finish your career? In Manchester? Hopefully. Hopefully. But you know it’s so quite difficult to finish like Manchester United. You know, this club is one of the best clubs. So there is no reason to move the another club. So the club who deal with me and then take care or improve me, then but I want to stay that club. So but I don’t know in the future.

 

How does it compare to some of the other clubs you’ve been? you played in Japan. You played in Holland as well. Yeah, first of all, it’s just I want to improve my football. So just I want to be a better player. That’s the number one priority? Yeah. So that’s why I move from the Japan to the Europe. So because in Europe, a lot of good player playing in Europe. So that’s why I move on. And then I play in Holland. But Manchester United is biggest club in the world. So everyone wants to play. so….that’s why….me as well.
