전세계 독감 대처 방안

 

The latest now on the swine flu on why we’ve been focusing on the pandemic만연 in this country. The fact is it’s gone global. More than 400,000 confirmed cases around the world. Experts say the real number is much higher. A lot of countries are struggling to keep up with some mixed results. Our report tonight from London, here’s NBC’s Donna Frison.

 

As H1N1 spreads across the globe, some governments are taking drastic과감한 steps. In Ukraine, there’s a rush to stock up on face masks and Tamiflu after a sudden outbreak of swine flue killed 22 people and another 45 deaths are suspected cases. Our clinic is overloaded, this doctor says, and we’re treating 200 people a day in their homes.

 

Schools are shut down. Large public gatherings banned. And travel restrictions imposed for three weeks. In Rumania today, workers disinfected소독하다 at resort hotel after 40 people contracted swine flu at a conference. In Afghanistan, the government declared a state of emergency today after two confirmed deaths from H1N1. Schools have been closed. And there are reports several hundred afghan troops are under quarantined at this base suffering flu like symptoms.

 

India is screening passengers at its major airports. China is testing millions of school children for fever producing its own vaccine and has begun a mass vaccination program. So have 16 other countries including Japan and Israel. No one’s sure how many people in the world are sick with the H1N1 virus because many countries aren’t reporting individual cases any more. But there’s no question it’s on the rise. There were 78,000 new cases reported here in the UK last week and increased a 56% over the previous week.

 

Experts expect the virus will pick and then declined just like it did in parts of the southern hemisphere.

“We will have a lot of cases, but to most of them will not be a severe cases.” In Saudi Arabia, the government is bracing긴장하다 for the arrival of three million Muslim pilgrims for the Hajj later this month. All are being strongly urged to get the H1N1 vaccine before they arrive as the world waits and watches to see where this virus strikes next. Donna Frison, NBC News, London.
