It’s a movie few people were expecting to be big and yet it has a great story, a true story, and a powerful positive message and audiences have responded. It’s the story of a family that found room in their home and in their hearts for a kid who might not have made it otherwise and he has made it big all the way to the NFL. Our story tonight from NBC’s Chris Jansing.

 

The Baltimore, Pittsburg game wasn’t just about football last night. “We’ve talked a little bit about the movie star Michael Oher.” It’s the latest chapter in the remarkable story of Michael Oher. Rising rookie star and Hollywood hero whose life is the subject of the surprise hit movie, the blindside. “The blindside after 10 days of release has already made $100 million. That’s the kind of performance that you usually see from a superhero kind of movie not a drama about a mom who takes in a homeless teenager.”

 

That mom played by Sandra Bullock is in fact a super hero of a different kind.
