And good evening. We begin with that night time roller coaster ride for 148 people. An American Airlines plane landing in Jamaica skidded, overshot 벗어나다 the runway and look at the pictures. It broke apart a few feet from the sea.
Tonight, it could’ve been a disaster. An American Airlines jet skids off the runway in Jamaica and nearly into the sea. “We just felt a big crash. All lights went off and we felt the big impact.” Remarkably everyone gets out alive. I’m Katie Couric. An American Airlines flight nearly ended in tragedy, this footage taken today shows how close this 737 came to plunging into the Caribbean after skidding off the runway in Kingston, Jamaica last night. Flight 331 originated in Washington DC with the stop in Miami before heading to rainy Kingston with 154 people onboard. But when it landed, the pilots could not stop. Bags flew around the cabin as the jet careened <좌우로 흔들리며> 달리다 off the runway. Kelly Cobiella is in Kingston tonight where the investigation is just getting underway.
Investigators from the United States and Jamaica have been examining the wreckage of Flight 331 here behind me throughout the day. They found one of the black boxes. They’re still looking for the second. They know this much about this flight. It was a bumpy ride throughout and ended with one violent thud <비행기의> 추락, 쿵 하는 일격.
Landing in heavy rain, American Airline’s Flight 331 slammed down and skidded off the end of the Kingston, Jamaica airport runway. The plane crashed through a retaining fence and broke apart. Of the 148 passengers and 6 crew members onboard, 76 were US citizens. Of those, at least 40 were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries. 4 Americans were in serious condition.
