Six days after the earthquake in Haiti getting help to the hundreds of thousands in need still seems to be happening in slow motion with roads blocked and gridlock정체상태 at the airport. Today, a US air force C-17 dropped in 14,000 MREs전투식량, meals ready to eat, and 14,000 quarts of water. Relief workers on the ground were to distribute the aid, but in some cases, others got their first.
Tonight, the earthquake in Haiti, the massive job to get help to those who needed food, water, medical care and hope. And almost a full week now after the quake, some remarkable stories of survival. Good evening. A Haitian soldier was quoted today as saying, “everything in Haiti is broken.” And having just returned from there, we can tell you that is indeed true. Good news is hard to come by구하다 얻다 in Haiti right now. And while we have some for you tonight, first the latest number. 70,000 bodies they estimate have been recovered so far. 1,700 US troops on the ground. Thousands more aboard ships offshore. 7,000 more troops due to arrive just today including 2,200 marines. Haiti means a lot of things. They need heavy machinery, doctors with room to work. They need troops to get in vehicles and bring help out to where the people are who need it.
