It’s spectacular performance today for Lindsey. Congratulations. How long have you been dreaming of this moment? For my whole life. I’ve worked so hard for this and, you know, to finally be able to see in the finish, you know, what the gold medal is. It’s so awesome. It’s amazing. I mean….I just….. I’ve given up everything for this and…..you know, my family is here supporting me and…..it’s just…..it’s awesome.
You know, there are so many crashes, so many delays, how did all of those different things affect you? Well, that was hard. You know, yesterday, I really did… two days ago we only did like a three quarters run. And, you know, my leg was killing me and….and I was really tired and I did know how the bottom was going to run, you know, when I was tired and my knee, my leg was hurting, so I’m…. I didn’t quite know what to expect at the bottom, but I knew I had to keep it together, you know, I’m just…. I’m so thankful that I made it down.
You’ve got so much to get, Lindsey. This is only the first of your gold medal attempts. What else should we be prepared to see your accomplish here? I don’t care. I came here, I got what I came here to do. I have a gold medal. Um….you know, I have what I want and you know, just keep fighting every day, but Um…. definitely a huge relief that I finally did it. I guess somebody right behind me that wants to give you some congratulations, too. Thomas is right…... right down below. What do you need to say to him right now? Where is he? Oh, no. He’s right there. There he is. I got to go see him.
Yeah. Awesome. Unbelievable. Unbelievable. You did it. You did it. You did it. How does it feel? How does it feel? It’s so good. You deserve it. Congratulations. That was incredible. That was, that was, that was impressive. All right. No more crying. No more crying. That is a good day. Come on. You look great. Go to your interviews. I’ll be standing in box No. 8. Hey, that was so sweet. That was so sweet. So sweet.
