오노 인터뷰
“I can feel the heat from the lights. I can feel the body heat from the people.
I can hear the buzz윙윙거리는 소리 of the crowd.
And it’s pretty incredible feeling to know that all these people genuinely want you to do well.
And you know, out there, you provide them with like entertainment show
and you know internally I’m just smiling.
you know, it makes me want to dig deeper.
It gives me more desire to do better and deliver the results.”
“The South Koreans are incredible athletes. They really are technically, strategically,
you know whether they decide to work together in team skate, we don’t know.
We had to be ready for that.
You know obviously it’s…. that’s an infraction. It’s not allowed in the sport. But it’s very hard to judge from the referee standpoint.
So I have to just prepare myself to do whatever I can.”
At Pacific Coliseum, Olympic history achieved by Apolo Anton Ohno with his 7th career Olympic medal. And he’s with Andrea Joyce.
Well, Apolo has said that anything more here in Vancouver would be icing on the cake considering how this final went. How sweet is this bronze medal?
“Oh…..you know it’s…. it was a great race. I skated very hard. And I felt great.
In my head, I thought the race is mine.
I made once bad slip and that’s when I lost on my speed.
Oh, but you know it was a great race.
Almost sounds like you’d like to redo it.
I‘d rather redo it. You know I’m conditioned for it.”
And with this medal, you become the most decorated Winter Olympian in US history.
You have been deflecting빗나가다 all of those comparisons.
But talk about the magnitude of that accomplishment, seven Olympic medals.
It feels amazing. Especially in the sport as volatile as short track speed skating.
It is my 3rd Olympic Games. Um.. there is no other athletes here
competing that have gone three Olympic Games and medaled every single time.
Congratulations. Thank you.
