Here’s a look at what’s making news as we head into a new week on Wall Street. Federal Reserve Chairman Ban Bernanke made his first address to congress since he was reconfirmed to his second term last month. He said what most investors wanted to hear that short-term interest rate would remain historically low for “an extended period of time.” Mr. Bernanke also predicted that the economic recovery would remain slow.
Toyota CEO Akio Toyota appeared before congress this week at a contentious논쟁이 벌어지고 있는 hearing. The grandson of the company’s founder apologized profusely충분이 and said that he took complete responsibility for Toyota’s problems. 8 million Toyotas have been recalled for various issues, mostly brake related.
